What table length does a 31.5″ linear chandelier suit?

A common rule for a linear fixture is a length of about half to two-thirds of the table's length. By that rule, it suits a table roughly 4 to 5 feet long, or a kitchen island of a similar length. For a longer table or counter, hang two of them in a row, leaving a gap between them.

How wide is it? I need to know it fits over my table.

The listed size is length and height, 80cm by 26cm. The fixture is an oval, and its width depends on the frame, so if the width matters for your table or island, ask us for it before you order. A common rule is to keep a hanging fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table.

Does it come assembled?

No. The glass petals are fitted to the frame on site, which keeps the glass safe in transit. Allow extra time and a second pair of hands, because the petals are fitted one at a time and the frame needs to be steady while you work.

Can my ceiling hold it? Do I need an electrician?

Glass chandeliers are heavy, and this one needs a ceiling structure rated for its weight. Ask us for the weight before you order and check it against your ceiling box and joists. It is hardwired onto a bar canopy with two chains, and we recommend installation by a licensed electrician, who can also check the support.

How is it hung, and how low will it go?

It hangs from two brass chains, adjustable up to 19.7″, attached to a bar canopy. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. At 10.3″ tall, the fixture itself takes little vertical space.

Are bulbs included, and can I dim it?

Yes, warm white 3000K bulbs are included, and they are replaceable. Each E14 socket is rated for a 15W incandescent bulb or an LED equivalent. E14 is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base on the box when you buy replacements. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer.

How do I clean the petals?

Wipe each petal with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth, supporting it from below so it does not twist on its fitting. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. It is for indoor use only, so keep it dry, and do not hang it in a bathroom or anywhere it can get steam or splashes.
