How pink is it, and what is the rainbow effect on the glass?

It is a pastel pink, closer to blush or rose quartz than to hot pink, with deeper pink swirls inside the glass. The rainbow sheen is a thin iridescent layer on the surface that shows pale green, gold and violet depending on the angle and the light. In bright daylight it is more visible than in warm evening light.

Will each disc look like the ones in the photo?

Similar, but not identical. The swirl pattern and the strength of the sheen vary from disc to disc, so your fixture will have the same character as the photo with a slightly different arrangement. Because the discs are swirled glass, a few may look a little deeper or paler than their neighbours.

How big a table or room is it right for, and how high should I hang it?

A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table, so at 18.2″ wide it suits a table about 30″ wide or larger, such as a small round table. Over a table, hang the bottom about 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop, and in a walkway at least 7 feet above the floor. Add the 22.9″ fixture height and the chain to see how much ceiling you need.

The chain is 11.8″. Can it be longer?

Yes. The standard chain is 30cm (11.8″), and the length can be changed if you contact us. For a higher ceiling, or to hang lower over a table, tell us your ceiling height and where you want the bottom of the fixture, and we will confirm the chain you need.

Which bulbs bring out the pink best, and can I dim it?

Warm white bulbs give a peachy, rosy glow, and a cooler white makes the pink look cleaner and the rainbow sheen show more. Both LED and Edison bulbs fit. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. It is listed as compatible with common wall switches, which are not included. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer.

Can I use it in a bathroom, and how do I clean the iridescent glass?

No bathroom: it is rated IP20, which means no protection against water, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. To clean it, switch it off and let the bulbs cool, then hold each disc steady and wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and strong chemical cleaners, which can dull the sheen.
