Conical Stained Glass Pendant

A wide conical pendant built the old way — individual panels of amber-toned glass set into a hand-soldered brass channel, then bent outward at the lower edge so the rim flares slightly past the cone's natural taper. 50 cm across and 40 cm tall, large enough to anchor a dining table or a reading nook on its own. The brass framework reads as a series of radiating lines from the center cap down to the flared rim, and the warm-amber glass softens the bulb light into a honey-colored wash on the table below. Hung from a single black cord with a brass canopy. Takes a standard E26 bulb.

Conical Form, Flared Rim

Wide cone (50 cm) with an outward-curving lip at the bottom.

Hand-Soldered Brass Channel

Each glass panel set into a brass channel and soldered by hand.

Amber-Toned Glass Panels

Warm parchment-amber translucent glass softens the bulb light.

E26 Bulb Socket

Standard medium-base bulb — swappable, dimmable with the right bulb.

Single Black Cord

Slim cord suspension with raw brass canopy — minimal hardware.

AC 110–240V

Hardwired, works on North America and EU mains.

Hand-Soldered Construction — Each Panel Set Individually

The Halden Conical is built panel by panel, the way leaded glass and stained glass fixtures have been made for over a century. Each amber glass panel is cut to shape, fitted into the brass channel, and soldered into the radiating frame by hand. The visible solder lines and brass channel grid are part of the construction, not a decorative overlay — they're how the panels hold together. Small variations in solder bead width, channel alignment, and panel color tone are normal to this method and add to the handmade character of each piece.

E26 Medium-Base Bulb · Bulb Not Included

The Halden Conical takes one standard E26 medium-base bulb — the same size as most household table-lamp bulbs in North America. Bulbs are not included. We recommend a warm-white LED (2700–3000K, max 60W) to complement the amber tone of the glass. The supplier doc specifies E27 (European), which is interchangeable with E26 — bulbs from either system fit this socket.

Statement Scale — Single Size

Cone diameter at rim: 50 cm / 19.7″
Cone height: 40 cm / 15.7″
Suitable room area: 10–15 m²
The Halden Conical is sized as a statement pendant, intended to hang alone over a dining table, a reading area, or a writing desk where it can be the main visual feature of the room. Unlike the smaller Halden Drum and Halden Cylinder, this one is not meant to be clustered — a single Conical anchors the space.

Environment Indoor only — dry locations

  • Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
  • Compatible with a standard wall switch (not included). For dimming, use a Triac dimmer paired with a dimmable LED bulb — non-dimmable bulbs will not dim.
  • The E26 socket is the standard North American medium-base size and accepts most household LED bulbs. The supplier doc lists E27 (European), but E26 and E27 are interchangeable — the bulb threads fit either socket.
  • Twist the bulb gently into the socket inside the cone. Do not exceed 60W — higher-wattage bulbs run hot and can stress the soldered joints over years of use.
  • The pendant is moderately heavy due to its size and glass-panel construction. Confirm the ceiling junction box is secured into a joist or fan-rated brace before mounting.
  • Cord ships at a standard drop length. If you need a longer cord for high ceilings or shorter for low ceilings, request the length before the order ships.
  • For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms, showers, or damp locations — extended humidity can degrade the solder joints over time.
  • Wipe the glass panels with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For fingerprints on the brass channel, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not use abrasives or metal polish — the channel finish is a thin coating.

Is this a real handmade stained glass pendant, or factory-pressed glass?
It uses the traditional leaded-glass method: each glass panel is cut to shape, fitted into a brass channel, and soldered together panel by panel. This is the same construction approach used in stained glass church windows and antique conical pendant lamps, scaled to a modern fixture. It is not a single piece of pressed glass with a brass overlay; the brass channel is structural, holding individual panels in place. Because the work is done by hand, no two pieces are identical — solder bead width, channel alignment, and glass tone all vary slightly from one fixture to the next.
What kind of light does the amber glass produce?
Warm and golden, on the honey-amber side rather than bright white. The glass panels are translucent (not transparent), so they diffuse the bulb instead of letting you see the filament through them, and they shift the color of the light toward warmer tones — even if you use a neutral-white bulb, the light reaching the table will read warm. If you want a brighter, whiter light, this is not the right fixture; pair it with a cooler-toned task light elsewhere in the room.
How big is it really? Is 50 cm too large for my room?
50 cm (about 20 inches) across is statement scale — large enough to be the main visual element in a 10–15 m² room. Over a dining table, it works best on tables 120 cm long or wider, hung about 75–80 cm above the table surface. In a smaller room (under 10 m²) it can feel oversized for the space. The smaller Halden Drum (17 cm) or Halden Cylinder (9 cm) are better choices for compact rooms or cluster installations.
What bulb does it take — E26 or E27?
Both work. E26 (North American medium-base) and E27 (European medium-base) have the same thread diameter and are interchangeable in this fixture. The supplier doc specifies E27, but any E26 bulb from a US retailer will screw into the socket without an adapter. Recommended: warm-white LED at 2700–3000K, maximum 60W equivalent. A clear-bulb filament LED works well behind the amber glass; an opal-bulb LED gives a slightly softer wash.
How is this different from the Halden Drum and Halden Cylinder?
All three are part of the Halden series and use brass hardware, but the materials and scale are very different. The Halden Drum (17 × 21 cm) and Halden Cylinder (9 × 28 cm) use natural alabaster shades — compact, modern, designed for bedside, cluster, or kitchen-island use. The Halden Conical is much larger (50 × 40 cm), uses hand-soldered amber glass panels instead of stone, and is built as a single statement pendant for a dining table or reading area. Think of the Conical as the "anchor" of the Halden series — the others are quieter pieces; this one is the focal point.
Will my Halden Conical look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Hand-soldered glass construction produces small variations from one piece to the next — solder bead width, brass channel alignment, individual glass panel tone, and how the amber color refracts depending on the bulb you use. These are not defects; they're the consequence of building the piece by hand rather than pressing it from a mold. The character grows on the fixture over time as the brass develops a warmer patina with age.
Can I use a dimmer with this light?
Yes, with the right combination. The Halden Conical dims when paired with a dimmable E26 LED bulb and a Triac dimmer wall switch. Non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or stay at full brightness on a dimmer, regardless of the fixture. A dimmed amber-glass pendant reads especially warm — useful for evening dining ambiance.
Is it certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It operates on AC 110–240V worldwide with compliance suitable for North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia.
