Clear glass leaves shaped like feathers are set in two staggered rows around a long oval brass frame, the upper row holding the leaves by slim brass clips and the lower row hanging in a longer fringe beneath. Fine diagonal ribs run along each leaf like the barbs of a feather. Two chains wrapped in gathered champagne fabric lift the fixture from a long brass canopy bar.

It is 39.4″ long, 13.8″ wide and 14.2″ tall. That makes it a good fit for a long dining table, a kitchen island, or a wide entryway, where you want light spread along a line and not in a round cluster.

FAQ

How long a table does a 39.4″ linear chandelier suit?

A common rule for a linear fixture is a length of about half to two-thirds of the table's length. That means a table roughly 5 to 6.5 feet long. At 13.8″ wide, it also needs a table at least about 26″ wide to keep the fixture inside its edges. A kitchen island of a similar length works too.

How is it hung, and how do I set the height?

It hangs from two chains, covered in gathered champagne fabric, attached to a long brass canopy bar, and it is wired directly into the ceiling. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. Send us your ceiling height and where you want the bottom of the fixture, and we will confirm the chain length you need.

Will it light the whole length of a long table?

The bulbs are spread along the length of the frame, so the glow stretches along the table and does not sit in one spot. The glass leaves are clear and ribbed, so the light is softened into fine lines. How bright it feels depends on the bulbs you choose, so pick warm white LEDs with enough output for the table and room.

What bulbs should I buy, and can I change them myself?

Yes, the bulbs are user-replaceable. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. Warm white bulbs suit the brass and the clear glass best. Buy all the bulbs in the same type so the whole length glows evenly.

Do I need an electrician? Can I dim it?

It is hardwired, which means it connects directly to your ceiling's electrical wiring, with no plug. If you are unsure about your wiring, use a licensed electrician, as local codes can require one. Dimming is not listed. If you want to use a dimmer, ask us first so we can confirm it works with your bulbs and setup.

How do I clean two rows of glass leaves?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. Clean the upper row first so dust falls onto leaves you have not cleaned yet. Dust settles in the ribs, so run a soft, dry brush along them, then wipe each leaf with a microfiber cloth, holding it steady. Keep liquid cleaners off the brass and the fabric chain covers.
