FAQ

Which of the three sizes should I choose?

A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table: about 32″ wide or larger for the 19.7″ size, 36″ for the 23.6″ size, and 44″ for the 31.5″ size. The two smaller sizes are the same height, 15.7″, so the 23.6″ one looks wider and flatter. The 31.5″ size is both wider and taller, at 18.9″, and suits a large table or a foyer.

Should I choose amber or clear?

Choose amber if you want a warm, honey-coloured glow that suits wood, leather and warm-toned walls, and to be the colour in the room. Choose clear if you want a lighter, more sparkling look that lets in more light and goes with any colour scheme. The shape, sizes and chrome frame are the same in both.

Will I see the bulbs through the prisms?

Mostly not from the side, because the prisms are packed closely and hang in several rings. In the amber version the bulbs are tinted and softened by the glass, so you see a warm glow with deeper orange where the prisms overlap. From directly below, you may see more of the bulbs through the gaps in the lower rings.

How low will it hang, and can I change the chain?

The standard chain is 30cm (11.8″), and the length can be changed if you contact us. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Add the fixture height and the chain to see how much ceiling you need, or send us your ceiling height and we will confirm the chain.

Does amber glass make it dark? Which bulbs should I buy?

Amber glass absorbs some of the light, so for a room that relies on this fixture, choose a brighter LED than you would with clear glass, within the fixture's maximum wattage. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. Both LED and Edison bulbs fit. Warm white bulbs deepen the amber, and a cooler white makes it look lighter.

Is it heavy? Can I dim it?

A fixture made of this many solid glass prisms is heavy, especially in the largest size. Ask us for the weight and check that your ceiling box and mounting can carry it. It is listed as compatible with common wall switches, which are not included. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer.

How do I clean so many prisms? Can I use it in a bathroom?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. Work from the top ring down so dust falls onto prisms you have not cleaned yet, and wipe each prism with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, holding it steady with your other hand. Keep liquid cleaners off the chrome. It is for indoor use only, and no moisture rating is listed, so we recommend dry rooms and not a bathroom.

An absolute showstopper in our formal dining space. The cascading glass tiers create remarkable visual depth that anchors our dark paneled walls. It dims smoothly with our Lutron wall system without humming.

Sourced this for a hospitality lounge project in an old brick building. The tiered waterfall silhouette brings immediate Art Deco elegance without looking like a dusty antique. The amber glass diffuses bare bulb glare entirely, casting an inviting, golden haze across our velvet seating areas.

Miranda Kester

Incredibly heavy cast glass with crisp, faceted edges. We hired a licensed electrician to reinforce the ceiling junction box with an extra 2x4 brace because the fully assembled chandelier easily weighs over 50 pounds. The chrome top canopy contrasts nicely with the rich honey glass, giving our mid-century space a balanced, retro-luxe feel.

Mounting this onto a 14-foot ceiling required two ladders and plenty of elbow grease. Once the frame was anchored, hanging the dozens of glass prisms took patience, but flipping the breaker on made every single minute worth it.

Dramatic scale that fills our vaulted ceiling without feeling visually overwhelming. We opted for 2700K warm white bulbs, which bring out the richest honey and amber tones in the glass. Be sure to wear soft cotton gloves during setup to avoid leaving smudges across the glass facets.

Looks like something curated straight out of a boutique hotel in Milan. The way light cascades down the tiered tiers feels glamorous and cozy at the same time. Dust does tend to settle along the top ledges of the rods, so running a duster wand over it every month is part of the upkeep.

Clean chrome plating on the ceiling cap and hanging links. The installation guide was basically just an exploded diagram, but working from the bottom center tier upward to the outer perimeter made the hanging process fairly methodical.

We suspended this massive tiered amber fixture directly over our oval dining table, and it completely commands the entire room. When wired to a dimmer at around forty percent, the cognac glass rods throw a buttery, sunset-like warmth across the ceiling and walls that makes evening dinner parties feel effortless. Unboxing each individually wrapped glass prism took my brother and me over two hours, but the structural drama is undeniable once every piece is hooked in place.

Strong steel frame and dependable mounting bracket. Hung it over an eight-seat dining set. The width is substantial and provides ample downlight across the table surface while keeping the light soft on the eyes.

Craig Pendelton

Replaced a standard wagon-wheel fixture in our high-ceiling living room. Natural daylight catches the amber flutes all afternoon, making it look like a floating sculpture even before flicking the wall switch. One of the small wire hooks on an inner tier was bent slightly out of shape, but a quick bend with needle-nose pliers fixed it right up.

Truly mesmerizing over our curved foyer staircase. The warm amber refraction hits the plaster walls in delicate vertical patterns. Guests stop and comment on the craftsmanship the second they walk through our front door.

T
Travis Holbrook

Solid build throughout. Shortening the chrome chain links required heavy-duty bolt cutters, but the fixture sits rock-steady over our entryway console table.

B
Bradley Thorne

Substantial materials from top to bottom. The prisms are thick, authentic tinted glass rather than cheap surface-coated acrylic. When trucks rumble past our street, the pieces hang firm without rattling against one another.
