Are the shades real alabaster? Will each cylinder match?
Yes, each cylindrical diffuser is carved from genuine natural alabaster stone. Alabaster is a translucent stone featuring natural mineral veins and delicate cloud-like formations. Because each cylinder is carved from separate blocks of stone, patterns and opacity will vary naturally, giving every piece an authentic, individualized character.
What kind of bulbs does this chandelier require?
The fixture utilizes G9 bi-pin lamp sockets designed for AC 110–240V mains power. You can use G9 LED bulbs or Edison bulbs. To achieve the intended glow through the alabaster cylinders, warm white bulbs (around 3000K) are recommended. Bulbs are typically not included with the standard order.
Can I dim this chandelier?
The fixture is wired for standard push switch operation. However, because it uses replaceable G9 lamp bases, you can achieve dimming by installing dimmable G9 LED bulbs and connecting the chandelier to a compatible LED wall dimmer switch.
What does IP20 damp-rated mean? Can I use it in a bathroom?
The fixture has an IP20 moisture resistance rating, making it suitable for dry indoor environments or well-ventilated damp interior zones away from direct water splashes, steamy shower stalls, or outdoor weather. It is ideal for dining areas, living rooms, foyers, hallways, and dry powder rooms.
How is the chandelier installed and suspended?
The chandelier mounts directly to the ceiling via hardwired junction box connections. It is supported by a dual-downrod rigid stem assembly attached to a rectangular ceiling canopy. Because solid brass and natural stone carry real structural weight, mounting into a secure, weight-rated electrical junction box by a certified electrician is strongly advised.
How should I clean the brass frame and alabaster shades?
Turn off power and let bulbs cool prior to cleaning. Dust the alabaster cylinders with a dry, soft cloth or feather duster. Avoid chemical sprays, acidic cleaners, and excess water, as alabaster is porous and susceptible to staining. Wipe the brushed gold brass frame gently with a clean, dry lint-free cloth.
