Solid build throughout with massive stability. The heavy stone and wide wooden plinth give the totem a very low center of gravity, so it never shifts even when our golden retriever brushes past it.
Sourced two of these sculptural totems for an architectural penthouse project styled in organic minimalism. The alternating rhythm of spheres, discs, and cylinders pays homage to Brancusi sculptures while serving as functional ambient lighting. Connected to a floor dimmer at thirty-five percent, the entire pillar glows like an illuminated spine that anchors the expansive seating area.
Genuine carved alabaster with reassuring density and cool mineral weight. The warm wood disc at the base softens the transition from the glowing stone to our white oak flooring. Keep in mind that natural stone variance is very real; the center spherical section on mine has slightly darker charcoal striations than the upper beads, but that organic character proves each section was cut from real quarried rock rather than synthetic resin.
Absolute showpiece in our master suite. The soft amber diffusion through the veined stone column creates a tranquil, boutique-hotel warmth that makes winding down at the end of the day remarkably peaceful.
The vertical footprint is wonderfully compact for tight room corners. It provides substantial upward and outward ambient diffusion without eating up valuable floor space beside the armchair.
Looks far more curated than standard department store showroom lighting. The brass feet give a delicate lifted detail underneath the oak base plate. Because the custom foam packaging was exceptionally tight to protect the heavy stone sections during shipping, peeling the tape away took about fifteen minutes.
Clean assembly right out of the crate with the wiring already run cleanly through the stone core. The foot step switch on the cord operates with a firm click, though positioning the switch slightly closer to the base plate would make stepping on it easier when tucked behind furniture.
Placed this monolithic stone totem lamp in the corner of our open-concept living room, and it completely alters the evening mood. When switched on, the light radiates through the varied thicknesses of the carved alabaster spheres and discs, revealing amber mineral veining that casts a soft, sculptural warmth across our limewash walls. The solid oak base and brass peg feet give it great footing on hardwood, though moving it requires two people because the solid stone column carries serious weight.
Sturdy build, clean joinery along the stone beads, and dependable electrical components. The diffused glow illuminates paperwork in my study corner comfortably without causing reflections on my computer monitor.
Replaced a spindly metal floor lamp next to our library banquette. The light is completely contained inside the stone column, eliminating bare bulb glare when seated nearby. Dust does settle into the narrow grooves between the stacked stone segments over time, so running a dry soft bristle brush around the seams once a month keeps the carved rock looking pristine.
Unboxing was effortless thanks to heavy-duty custom foam blocks that supported the stone totem along its entire height. The natural wood grain on the plinth matches our walnut trim cleanly.
Heavy carved stone stack, solid wood plinth, and a mesmerizing evening glow beside our entryway vestibule.
A true conversation piece in our sitting room. Guests immediately reach out to touch the stone beads to verify that it is genuine cool-to-the-touch rock. The internal LEDs cast an intimate, candle-like tone that makes evening reading feel peaceful and grounded. It runs dead silent with zero electrical hum.
