Textured Glass Disc Gold Chandelier

A common rule is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table. By that rule, the 19.7″ size suits a table about 32″ wide or larger, the 23.7″ size about 36″ or larger, and the 31.5″ size about 44″ or larger. For a bedroom, a good starting point is the 60cm size. This is one of the shorter styles of chandelier. The listed height is 11.9″ to 14.2″, and it hangs from a short rod, so it needs far less room than a long-drop fixture. Mark the listed height down from your ceiling to see roughly where the bottom will sit. In a walkway keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. If your ceiling is below 8 feet, ask us for the exact hanging length first.

It is translucent, closer to frosted than clear. The pebbled surface spreads the light, so you see a soft white glow and not the bulbs themselves. Because the discs overlap in layers, the centre of the fixture looks brightest and the outer discs look paler, which keeps glare low when you sit under it.

The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 candelabra base common in the US, so E12 bulbs will not fit. Check the base printed on the box before you buy. With white glass, a warm white bulb gives a cozy glow, and a cooler white gives a crisper look. Use the same bulb type in every socket so the light is even, and stay at or below the fixture's maximum wattage.

Dimming is not listed for this chandelier. If you want to use a dimmer, ask us first so we can confirm it works with your bulbs and setup.

Do not hang it in a bathroom, over a bathtub or shower, or anywhere it can get steam or splashes. IP20 means no protection against water. It is made for dry indoor rooms such as a bedroom, living room, dining room, hallway or hotel lobby.

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. The textured surface holds dust, so use a soft, dry brush first, then wipe each disc with a microfiber cloth, holding it steady because the discs hang from small hangers. Wipe the gold frame with a dry soft cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the finish.
