Choose gold, a brushed brass, if you want a warm look that goes with wood, brass hardware and warm white walls. Choose black for a sharper, more graphic look, where the thin arms stand out against a light ceiling and the white glass looks brighter by contrast. The glass discs and the size are the same with both frames.

Similar, but not identical. Hand-blown glass is shaped one piece at a time, so every disc has a different swirl, slightly different thickness, and sometimes small bubbles. Your fixture will have the same character as the photo, with a different mix of clear and cloudy areas on each disc. That variation is part of the look of hand-blown glass.

A common rule is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table. By that rule, the 19.7″ size suits a table about 32″ wide or larger, the 23.6″ size about 36″ or larger, and the 31.5″ size about 44″ or larger. The two larger sizes are the same height, so the 31.5″ size looks flatter and wider.

Not much. It hangs from a short 30cm (11.8″) rod, and the discs sit close under the arms. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. If you need it lower or higher, the rod length can be changed on request, so send us your ceiling height and we will confirm.

Partly. The discs are a mix of clear and milky white, so in the cloudy areas the bulbs are hidden and the light glows, while in the clearer areas you can see a softened bulb behind the glass. Looking from below at the centre of the fixture, you will see mostly glowing glass. If you do not want to see the bulbs, choose frosted LED bulbs.

Both LED and Edison bulbs fit. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. It is controlled by a standard wall switch, which is not included. Dimming is not listed. If you want to use a dimmer, ask us first so we can confirm it works with your bulbs and setup.

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. The discs hang from thin hooks, so hold each disc steady with one hand and wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth with the other. For marks, use a cloth lightly dampened with water. Dust the brass arms with a dry cloth, and keep liquid cleaners off the finish.
