There are six sizes. How do I choose the width and the height?

Choose the width first. A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table, which gives these minimum table widths: about 32″ for the 19.6″ size, 36″ for the 23.6″ size, 43″ for the 31.4″ size, and 51″ for the 39.3″ size. Then choose the height. The standard version is 7.9″ tall, a shallow ring. The 80cm and 100cm sizes also come at 15.8″ tall, which is a deeper ring with more flowers and more presence.

How pink is it, and will each flower look like the photo?

It is a soft, pastel pink, deepest at the ruffled edge of each flower and nearly clear at the ribbed centre. Lit, the glass glows a pale rose. Each flower is slightly different, with a different depth of pink and a different edge, so your fixture will have the same character as the photo but not the same arrangement.

How is it hung? The cable is 59″. How low will it go?

It hangs from thin cables, adjustable up to 59″ (150cm), which gives you a lot of room to set the height. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Because the ring itself is only 7.9″ or 15.8″ tall, it works under a lower ceiling too, by hanging it on a shorter cable length.

Can I dim it, and which bulbs should I use?

Yes, it works with dimmer switches, but the switch is not included. If you use LED bulbs, they must be marked dimmable, or they can flicker or buzz. Each socket takes a 15W incandescent bulb or an LED that gives the same light. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the bulb box. A warm white bulb gives a rosy glow, and a cooler white makes the pink look paler.

Will I see the bulbs through the flowers?

Partly. The flowers overlap around the ring, so from the side you see mostly glowing pink glass. The centres of the flowers are clear and ribbed, so from below or at an angle you may see a softened bulb through them. If you prefer no bulb to show, choose frosted LED bulbs.

Is it heavy? Do I need an electrician?

The larger and deeper sizes have many glass flowers and will be heavy, so ask us for the weight of the size you want, and check that your ceiling box and mounting can carry it. It is hardwired, which means it connects directly to your ceiling's electrical wiring. If you are unsure about your wiring, use a licensed electrician, as local codes can require one.

How do I clean the flowers? Can I use it in a bathroom?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. Dust settles in the ribs and between the ruffles, so use a soft, dry brush first, then wipe each flower gently with a dry microfiber cloth, supporting it with your other hand. It is for indoor use only, and no moisture rating is listed, so we recommend dry rooms and not a bathroom.
