Customizable Alabaster Globe Chandelier – Brass Hexagon Ring Dining Room Table Light

The globes are listed as alabaster, a natural stone, so every globe has its own pattern of clouds, veins and tone. In the photo, some globes carry bold cloudy veining while others are almost plain, and yours will be similar in overall feel but not identical, because each globe is cut from a different piece of stone. The globes on one chandelier may also differ from each other. Alabaster is translucent, so when the light is on, the stone glows warmer and creamier than it looks when it is off.

Both sizes are 59″ (about 150cm) tall, so they hang the same way. The difference is the width: 29.5″ (about 75cm) or 34.6″ (about 88cm). As a rule of thumb, a chandelier over a table looks best when it is clearly narrower than the table, so choose the smaller one for a round or small dining table, a kitchen island or an entrance hall, and the larger one for a long dining table, a stairwell or a big open room. Measure the table and the room before you order.

G9 is a small bulb with two pins that push into the socket, and it does not screw in like an E14 or E27 bulb. The bulbs are replaceable, so when one stops working you can swap it. Check that the box says G9 before you buy, and choose bulbs that match the mains voltage in your home. A warm white bulb (about 2700K to 3000K) gives the creamiest glow through the stone. The maximum bulb wattage, the number of bulbs in each size and whether bulbs are supplied are not listed, so ask us before you order.

The listed colour temperature is warm light, 3000K. Alabaster adds its own warmth, so the globes glow creamier and more golden than the bulb alone.

Dimming is not listed for this chandelier, so please ask us before you connect it to a dimmer. If you do dim it with LED bulbs, the bulbs must be marked dimmable and the dimmer must be made for LED bulbs.

The chandelier is hardwired, which means it connects directly to your ceiling wiring and has no plug, so it should be fitted by a qualified electrician who follows your local rules. It runs on 110–240V, so the fixture itself suits most countries. Six alabaster globes and a brass frame add up to a real weight, so the ceiling fixing point must be able to carry it. The listed height is 59″ (about 150cm). Whether you can shorten the cords to change the hanging height, the weight and how the switch is controlled are not listed, so tell us your ceiling height and ask us before you order. The listed height does not by itself tell you how high the lowest globe will sit above a table, so plan that with your installer.

Switch off the power and let the bulbs cool first. Dust each globe with a soft, dry cloth or brush, supporting it with your other hand. Alabaster is a soft stone that scratches and stains easily and reacts to acids, so avoid water, vinegar, lemon, glass cleaner and abrasive pads. Dust the cords and wipe the brass frame with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid scouring pads and strong cleaners. It is for indoor use only, and no water-protection rating is listed, so keep it away from showers, sinks and damp spaces. Over a kitchen island, keep it clear of steam and grease.
