Nickel is a cool, silvery tone that matches the icy look of the glass and goes with chrome and stainless fittings. Gold adds warmth and goes better with brass hardware, wood and warm-toned walls. The glass, shape and size are the same with both.

The streaks scatter the light, so each tube glows with fine lines and sparkles and not with a hard point of light. Because the glass is clear, you can see through the outer tubes to the ones behind and to the frame inside. Unlit, it looks like pale, frosty ice with white veining.

The adjustable chain is 11.8″, and we can supply a longer one if you ask. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Tell us your ceiling height and where you want the bottom to sit, and we will confirm the chain length.

The listed maximum power is 15W, so use bulbs at or below that rating. LED bulbs are the easiest way to do this, since a small LED gives plenty of light well under 15W and runs cool. Edison bulbs also fit but get hotter. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box.

No. IP20 means no protection against water, so it is only for dry indoor rooms. Do not hang it in a bathroom, over a shower or bathtub, or on a covered patio. It is hardwired, so a licensed electrician should connect it if you are unsure about your ceiling wiring.

It is listed as compatible with common wall switches, which are not included. Dimming is not listed. If you want to use a dimmer, ask us first so we can confirm it works with your bulbs and setup.

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. Work from the top tier down so dust falls onto tubes you have not cleaned yet. Wipe each tube with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, holding it steady with your other hand, because the tubes hang from small hooks. Use a soft brush in the streaks, and keep liquid cleaners off the metal finish.
