That also takes strain off your ceiling and makes it easier to hang. The surface is still a hand-finished matte plaster, so a hard knock can mark the paint. Lift it out of the box with both hands and keep the small leaf details away from the box edges. After it's up, there's nothing special to look after.
How bright is it, and which of the three color settings should I use?
It gives a soft, diffused glow rather than a hard, direct beam. The LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace. You can pick between 3000K warm, 4000K neutral, and 6000K cool. Warm is the cozy choice for evenings and dinners, neutral suits everyday use, and cool is for mornings or when you need crisp, clear light. The fixture is listed for spaces of about 10 to 25 square meters, and in a bigger room you'll want a few lamps alongside it.
Which size should I choose?
There are four versions. You can pick a 65cm (25.6") or 85cm (33.5") diameter, and each comes in a 58cm (22.8") or 75cm (29.5") overall height. Go with the smaller diameter for a bedroom, an entryway, or a round table for four, and the larger one for a big dining table or an open living area. The taller height is for rooms with higher ceilings, where a short fixture can look lost. On a standard 2.4m ceiling, the 58cm height leaves about 1.8m under it and the 75cm height about 1.65m, so both are best over a table rather than a walkway. Tape the diameter out on the floor first to see how much space it takes.
Can it hang from a sloped ceiling, and do I need an electrician?
Yes, it's made to mount on flat or sloped ceilings. Every chandelier includes a patterned plaster ceiling rose, which is the decorative base that sits against the ceiling and hides the connection. It runs on AC 110 to 240V, so it suits most homes. Like any chandelier, it's wired into your ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician. Turn off the power at the breaker before anyone starts work.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
It's made for indoor use and rated IP20, which means dry spaces only. That rules out outdoor areas, covered patios, and any place where it could get wet. Bathrooms aren't a good fit either, since steam and splashes can harm the plaster finish and the electrical parts. Living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and entryways are where it works best. How do I clean the matte plaster finish?
Switch the light off first. Dust it every few weeks with a soft dry brush or microfiber cloth, going gently around the ring and the leaves. The finish is a textured matte surface, so it's best not to scrub it or use water or sprays on it. For a small mark, dab the spot with a barely damp cloth and let it dry fully. Take extra care around the thin leaf details near the stem.
