Should I choose the 4-bulb or the 6-bulb size?

Both are about 12″ tall, so choose by width and light. A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table, which gives a table about 30″ wide or larger for the 17.7″ size, and about 34″ or larger for the 21.7″ size. The 55cm size also has 6 bulbs instead of 4, so it gives more light for a bigger room or a higher ceiling.

Will I see the bulbs? How does it light the room?

No, the discs are opaque white, so the bulbs are hidden and you see only a soft, even glow. The light comes out through the discs and through the gaps where they overlap, and spreads in all directions, including down over the table or bed. Because opaque glass absorbs some of the light, choose a bright LED, and treat the fixture as ambient lighting. For reading or cooking, add a task light.

It says "push switch". What switch do I need, and can I dim it?

It is listed as compatible with common push switches, the kind that click on and off with a press, and the switch is not included. Dimming is not listed. If you want to use a dimmer, ask us first so we can confirm it works with your bulbs and setup.

How low will it hang, and can I lengthen the chain?

The chain adjusts up to 19.7″, and it can be extended on request. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Since the fixture is only about 12″ tall, it takes little vertical space.

The listing says IP20. Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. IP20 means no protection against water, so it is only for dry indoor rooms. Do not hang it in a bathroom, over a shower or bathtub, or on a covered patio. It is hardwired, so use a licensed electrician if you are unsure about your ceiling wiring.

What bulbs does it take, and how do I keep the white clean?

The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. Both LED and Edison bulbs fit, and warm white suits white glass best. White shows dust and fingerprints, so switch it off, let the bulbs cool, and wipe each disc with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, holding it steady with your other hand.
