Does it arrive assembled? How long does it take to put together?

No. The glass petals are fitted to the frame on site, which keeps the glass safe in transit. The number of petals runs from 22 to 74 depending on the model. The smaller sizes are manageable, but for the larger sizes allow extra time and a second pair of hands, because the petals are fitted one at a time and the frame needs to be steady while you work.

Can my ceiling hold it? Do I need an electrician?

Glass chandeliers are heavy, and this one needs a ceiling structure rated for the weight of the model you choose. Ask us for the weight before you order and check it against your ceiling box and joists. It is hardwired, and we recommend installation by a licensed electrician, who can also check the support.

What do the 4, 6 and 8 layers mean for the size I choose?

More layers mean more petals and a deeper, wider fixture. The 4-layer is 19.6″ wide and 13″ tall, the 6-layer is 23.6″ by 15.7″, and the 8-layer is 31.4″ by 19.6″. A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table, which gives a table about 32″ wide or larger for the 4-layer, 36″ for the 6-layer, and 44″ for the 8-layer. The 8-layer suits a stairwell or a lobby.

What does the glass look like, and will they all look the same?

Each petal is white and cloudy in the middle with a clear, glassy rim, and each one has a slightly different shape and a slightly different pattern of cloud. Lit, the white centres glow softly and the clear edges catch the light. Because the style is art glass, your fixture will have the same character as the photo, but the petals will not be identical copies.

Are bulbs included, and can I use LED?

Yes, warm white 3000K bulbs are included, and they are replaceable. Each E14 socket is rated for a 15W incandescent bulb or an LED equivalent, and the fixture has 6 to 12 sockets depending on the model. E14 is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base on the box when you buy replacements. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer.

How low will it hang, and how do I clean it?

The chain adjusts up to 19.7″. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. To clean it, wipe each petal with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth, supporting it from below, and avoid solvents and abrasives. It is for indoor use only, so keep it dry.
