It's the mounting, not the cylinder itself. Model B runs on two ceiling points: one chain drops straight down to the shade, while a second chain angles in from a separate plate off to the side, meeting it partway down. Model A mounts from a single central point instead. If your ceiling only has one convenient fixing spot, or you'd rather not deal with a second plate, Model A is the simpler install.

It's an integrated LED rather than a standard screw-in bulb, so it's built into the fixture rather than something you'd swap out yourself the way you would an E14 or E27 bulb. If it fails outside any warranty period, you'd likely be looking at a repair or replacement of the fixture rather than a simple bulb change.

In the photo, the bottom sphere sits roughly level with the top of a tall nightstand lamp would occupy, so it's worth measuring your own bedside table height and leaving at least 50-60cm of clearance between the bottom of the sphere and the surface below to avoid it feeling cramped.

Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe each of the three stacked pieces with a soft, dry cloth while supporting the piece above it gently with your other hand – avoid pushing sideways on any one piece, since the stack relies on the stones sitting centred on top of each other. Skip liquid cleaners, as alabaster is porous and can mark if it gets damp.
