What is the difference between Model A and Model B?

Model A has a few petals tinted soft purple, and Model B has a few tinted soft pink. The glass, the shape, the brass frame and the sizes are the same. The tint is an accent, so most of each globe is still clear, and the overall look is light and sparkling. Choose purple for a cooler, lilac accent, and pink for a warmer, blush accent.

Will the coloured petals be in the same places as in the photo?

Not exactly. The tinted petals are scattered around the globe, and where they land can differ from one fixture to the next. Your fixture will have the same mix of clear and tinted flowers as the photo, with the colour in slightly different spots.

Which size is right, and how much ceiling height do I need?

The listed height of each globe equals its width, 15.7″ or 19.7″, and the 30cm (11.8″) rod adds to that, so the 15.7″ size drops about 27.5″ from the ceiling and the 19.7″ size about 31.5″. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop, and to choose a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table.

Can the rod be a different length?

Yes. The standard rod is 30cm (11.8″), and the length can be changed on request. For a high ceiling, a stairwell, or a spot where you want it hung lower, send us your ceiling height and where you want the bottom of the globe to sit, and we will confirm the rod length you need.

Will I see the bulbs through the glass flowers?

Partly. The flowers are clear and overlap in layers, so you see a softened, sparkling glow, with bulbs showing through the gaps between petals from some angles. The ribbed petals scatter the light into fine lines, so the bulbs do not look harsh. If you do not want the bulbs visible, choose frosted LED bulbs.

What bulbs does it take? Can I dim it, or use it in a bathroom?

The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer. It is for indoor use only, and no moisture rating is listed, so we recommend dry rooms and not a bathroom.

How do I clean so many glass flowers?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. Dust settles in the ribs and between the petals, so use a soft, dry brush first, then wipe each flower gently with a dry microfiber cloth, supporting it with your other hand. Work from the top of the globe down. Keep liquid cleaners off the brass finish.
