A true conversation piece in our cocktail lounge. Guests constantly reach out to touch the stone core to see if it is real rock. The interplay between the smoky charcoal outer dome and the glowing inner sphere creates an intimate, speakeasy mood.
Replaced a brass task lamp on my bedside table. The angled opening lets me rotate the glass shell slightly away from my pillows so the light does not shine directly in my face while reading on a tablet. Because the exterior globe is dark polished glass, it shows dust and fingerprint smudges pretty quickly, so keeping a microfiber cloth in the nightstand drawer is handy.
Genuine carved alabaster with substantial heft and authentic mineral variations. The smoked outer glass sphere arrived impeccably polished with a crisp, beveled edge around the circular opening. Keep in mind that natural stone means unique veining; mine has more dark striations than the product listing shows, but that irregularity confirms it is real stone rather than cast resin.
Absolute showpiece inside our primary suite vestibule. The soft diffusion through the veined stone orb casts delicate amber reflections across the dark paint finish, giving the entry a warm, hotel-like welcome.
The scale is compact enough to nestle between books on our built-in shelving without crowding the shelf depth. The frosted illumination through the inner sphere is remarkably gentle on tired eyes after staring at computer monitors all day.
Looks far more curated than standard designer boutique decor. The organic veining through the glowing sphere softens the sharp edges of our contemporary steel-and-glass end tables. The inline dimmer switch sits a bit far down the power cord, but once set to the right brightness, I rarely need to touch it.
Clean wiring and heavy-duty cord construction. The cylindrical pedestal base sits completely flat on our marble desktop without rocking. Unboxing took a careful touch because the outer glass and stone cylinder come fitted snugly in dense foam packaging.
Placed this sculptural sphere lamp on our low walnut media credenza, and the mood it creates at night is remarkably soothing. The inner stone orb has rich, natural amber-brown mineral veining that glows from the inside like a miniature moon, while the angled opening in the smoked glass directs the ambient light outward without exposing any bare bulb glare. The cylindrical stone plinth has serious weight, making the entire piece feel anchored and impossible to tip over accidentally.
Sturdy construction, solid stone pedestal, and zero electrical buzz from the internal LED socket. The directional cutout allows just enough light to illuminate our corner bar tray without washing out the room.
Straightforward plug-and-play setup right out of the box. The weight of the stone plinth provides plenty of stability, and the smoked glass dome sits securely into the recessed collar.
Solid stone base, smooth cord with an inline rotary dimmer switch, and a captivating lunar glow on our floating entryway console.
Heavy cast base with real mineral density. It does not slide across the polished console even when our dog bumps the table with his tail.
