Pressed glass panels shaped like peacock feathers hang in two rows from a copper-toned bracket, each pressed with a fine diamond lattice, a row of fan-shaped scallops, and a small teardrop opening. FAQ

Should I choose clear, red or green?

Clear is the lightest and most sparkling, and goes with any wall colour. Red and green are tinted glass that deepen the light to a warm red glow or a cool green one, and they suit a bolder, vintage or maximalist room. All three share the same shape, size and copper frame. Tinted glass absorbs more light than clear, so the red and green versions give a softer, moodier glow.

Where should I mount it, and how high?

Sconces are commonly mounted with their centre about 60″ to 66″ above the floor, then raised or lowered to suit the room. At 11.9″ wide and 11.9″ tall, it is a compact piece, so it suits either side of a bed or a mirror, or a short stretch of wall. If you hang a pair, mount both at the same height and the same distance from the centre line.

How far does it stick out from the wall?

The listed size is width and height only. The panels hang in two rows, so the fixture has real depth. If space is tight, for example in a narrow hallway or beside a bed, ask us for the exact depth before you order.

Does it have its own switch? Can I dim it?

No. It is meant to be connected to an external wall light switch, which controls the power, and that switch is not included. If you are replacing an existing wall light, you can usually use the switch you already have. Dimming is not listed, so ask us first if you want to use a dimmer.

Will I see the bulb? What bulb should I use?

Yes, in the clear version you will see the bulb in the middle of the fixture through the clear glass, softened by the pressed pattern. If you prefer no bulb to show, choose a frosted LED. The socket is E14, which is slightly wider than the E12 base common in the US, so check the base printed on the box. Ask us for the maximum wattage before you order, since the listing does not give it.

How do I look after the pearl strand and the glass? Can I use it in a bathroom?

Switch the light off at the wall and let it cool. Dust the pearl strand gently with a soft, dry cloth, without pulling, and use a soft brush to get dust out of the pressed pattern before wiping each panel with a dry microfiber cloth. Keep liquid cleaners, alcohol and solvents off the beads and the copper finish. It is for indoor use only, and no moisture rating is listed, so we recommend dry rooms and not a bathroom.
