A true focal point flanking our master bedroom upholstered headboard. The stone shields eliminate direct filament hotspots completely, creating a relaxing environment for late-night reading before sleep. It operates dead silent on our electronic dimmer with zero driver hum.
Genuine carved alabaster slats with authentic cool mineral weight. The faceted accordion profile gives the shade an Art Deco sculptural dimension that catches daylight even when the lamp is off. Keep in mind that natural stone variance is very real; the center panel on mine has slightly deeper honey-colored veining than the outer wings, but that organic character proves each slat was cut from authentic quarried rock rather than cast composite resin.
Sourced two of these sculptural fixtures for a client executive library styled in warm brutalist minimalism. The contrast between the rigid black obelisk base and the luminous, pleated stone shade brings an ancient yet tailored architectural monumentality to the room. When connected to a trailing-edge dimmer at thirty percent, the backlit stone radiates a serene, gallery-like aura against our lime-plaster walls.
Absolute showpiece on our living room sideboard. The soft amber diffusion through the veined stone creates a tranquil, boutique-hotel warmth that dinner guests constantly compliment.
The vertical proportions are balanced and stately. It provides generous ambient diffusion without protruding far into the room, making it an ideal accent piece for shallow floating shelves and narrow consoles.
Looks far more curated than standard department store showroom lighting. The dark charcoal base grounds our neutral linen drapery effortlessly. The inline cord switch works fine, though placing it slightly closer to the base collar would make bedside reach even more convenient.
Clean assembly right out of the crate. Securing the stone shade to the central black column was straightforward, though having clean cotton gloves on hand prevented finger oils from transferring onto the matte honed stone facets during setup.
Placed this architectural lamp on our dark walnut media credenza, and the geometric presence after sunset is remarkable. The fluted alabaster panels diffuse the bulb into a warm, candlelit glow that reveals cloudy mineral feathering across each individual stone facet without leaking harsh forward glare into seated eye level. The heavy tapered black pedestal keeps the center of gravity grounded with zero wobble, though aligning the stone shade so it sits perfectly perpendicular to the front edge of the rectangular credenza took a minute of careful adjustment.
Sturdy build, clean brazing on the internal metal frame, and dependable electrical components. The diffused glow illuminates paperwork in my study corner comfortably without causing reflections on my computer monitor.
Unboxing was effortless thanks to custom-molded high-density foam that kept the heavy stone shade and tapered base completely secure during transit. The satin black finish coordinates cleanly with our blackened iron cabinet hardware.
Heavy blackened metal plinth, genuine carved stone facets, and a wonderfully soft reading light beside our leather armchair.
Solid construction throughout with reassuring heft. The lamp stays firmly planted on our oak sideboard even when our golden retriever brushes past the furniture.
