Cairo Dome Alabaster Pendant Light

A single alabaster dome — a half-sphere carved from natural stone — hung beneath a slim cylindrical alabaster neck. The neck and the dome are made from the same block of stone, so the join reads as a continuous surface rather than a contrast of materials. A bare bulb sits inside the dome; when it's on, the stone glows from within, and the cylinder above lights up like a small column. Hung from a single black cord with a brass canopy, the form is small (18 cm wide) and quiet — sized for a bedside, a kitchen island in clusters of three, or a tea space where a softer light is wanted.

• Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
• Compatible with a standard wall switch (not included). For dimming, use a Triac dimmer paired with a dimmable LED bulb — non-dimmable bulbs will not dim.
• Confirm the small-base socket type (E14 or E12) before buying bulbs. E14 is European; E12 is North American — bulbs are not interchangeable. We can confirm which is supplied with your order.
• Twist the bulb gently into the socket inside the dome. Do not exceed 40W — higher-wattage bulbs run hot and can stain the alabaster over time.
• The brass canopy mounts directly to a standard ceiling junction box. The pendant is light — alabaster dome + brass hardware — so a standard box is sufficient.
• Cord ships at a standard drop length. If you need a longer cord for high ceilings or shorter for low ceilings, request the length before the order ships.
• For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms, showers, or damp locations — alabaster is porous and absorbs moisture.
