Which size should I choose, and how many do I need?

The 9.5″ size is a slim accent for a bedside table or a hallway, and the 14.2″ size has more presence over a kitchen island or a small table. A common rule is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table or counter, so the small size suits a surface about 22″ wide or more, and the larger about 26″ or more. Over an island, a row of two or three, spaced about 2 feet apart from centre to centre, looks balanced.

It takes an E27 bulb. Will my home bulbs fit?

E27 is the standard screw base in Europe and much of Asia. Homes in the US use E26, which is very close, and E26 bulbs generally fit an E27 socket, but check the base printed on the box before you buy. A bulb is included, and the maximum is 40W, so use an LED, which gives plenty of light well under that limit and runs cool inside the glass.

Can I dim it?

No. The pendant is controlled by a push button switch and is not dimmable, and the bulb that comes with it does not support dimming either. If you want softer light, change to a lower-brightness warm bulb.

What does the glass look like, and will mine match the photo?

The tubes are clear glass with white streaks running through them, like ice or frost, and you can see the bulb in the centre through the gaps and the clear areas. The glass is blown by hand, so each tube has slightly different streaks, thickness and tiny bubbles. Your pendant will look like the photo but not be identical, and that variation is normal for blown glass.

How low will it hang?

The chain is 50cm (19.7″), and the length can be changed if you contact us. Over a table or island, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the surface. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. Tell us your ceiling height and where you want the bottom, and we will confirm the chain you need.

How do I clean the glass tubes? Can I use it in a bathroom?

Switch it off and let the bulb cool. Wipe each tube with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, holding it steady because the tubes hang from slim hooks, and keep liquid cleaners off the polished nickel. It is for indoor use only, and no moisture rating is listed, so we recommend dry rooms and not a bathroom.
