A round white alabaster globe sits capped in brass near the top of a long, slim brass rod, which runs down to a second wall-mounted backplate lower on the rod for extra support. Both have the same globe and diameter — the longer version simply extends the brass rod further down to a second wall mounting point.
What bulb should I use?

Can I dim this light?
No — the push-button switch controls on/off only and isn't compatible with a dimmer.
