What size table or room is a 23.6″ fixture right for?

A common rule for a table is to pick a fixture at least 12″ narrower than the table, so it suits a table about 36″ wide or larger. It sits most naturally over a round table of four, or in a bedroom or an entryway. For a long rectangular table, hang two of them in a row.

How blue is it? Is it baby blue or turquoise?

It is a pale aqua, between baby blue and sea-glass green, and lighter at the clear rim. The frosted middle of each disc looks softer and milkier than the edge. Lit with a warm bulb, the blue picks up a slight green cast, and unlit it looks cooler and paler. It is a gentle colour and not a saturated one, so it blends easily with white, grey and natural wood.

Will each disc look like the ones in the photo?

Similar, but not identical. The swirl at the centre of each disc and the depth of the blue vary from disc to disc, so your fixture will have the same character as the photo, with a slightly different mix of darker and paler discs. The discs overlap in layers, so from the side you mostly see glowing glass.

How is it hung, and how much ceiling height do I need?

It hangs from thin cables, which keep the drum level, and the fixture itself is only 7.9″ tall, so it takes little height. Over a table, a common guide is to hang the bottom 30″ to 36″ above the tabletop. In a walkway, keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor. It is rated IP20, which means no protection against water, so it is for dry indoor rooms only, and not for a bathroom, over a shower or bathtub, or on a covered patio.

How do I clean the glass discs?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool. The discs hang from thin hooks, so hold each disc steady with one hand and wipe it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth with the other. For fingerprints, use a cloth lightly dampened with water. Keep liquid cleaners off the chrome.
