Tova Teardrop Alabaster Pendant Lamp
The Tova Teardrop Alabaster Pendant Lamp is carved from a single piece of natural alabaster into a tapered teardrop form. Suspended from a slim brass stem and illuminated from within by a G9 bulb, the stone narrows toward the top where it meets the brass, then expands into a softly rounded base. This balanced silhouette gives the pendant a sculptural presence while allowing the natural alabaster to diffuse a warm, comfortable glow. Available in three sizes from 15 to 23 cm wide, the smaller version works beautifully beside a bed or in a hallway, while the largest size provides suitable illumination for an entryway, stair void, or small dining area.

Natural Alabaster — Each Drop Is Unique
The Tova is carved from a single block of alabaster per piece, not assembled from sections. Because alabaster is a quarried stone, the vein pattern, vein density, and underlying tone (whiter or more honey-yellow) vary from block to block. Your drop will not match the photo exactly. When the bulb is on, the veins read brightest because they are where the stone is thinnest — this is the stone, not a defect.
G9 Bulbs · Bulb Not Included
Small and medium sizes take 1 G9 bulb each; the large size takes 3 G9 bulbs distributed inside the wider stone. Bulbs are not included. We recommend a warm-white G9 LED bulb (2700–3000K) to bring out the honey tones in the alabaster veins.

Reading the Sizes
Diameter is measured at the widest point of the drop. Height is the full stone from the brass collar down to the rounded base, not including the stem above. The large size is more than twice the volume of the small, so the brightness gap between Small/Medium and Large is significant — choose Large if the Tova is the main light in the room, or cluster two Smalls if the room is narrow.

Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Compatible with a standard wall switch (not included). For dimming, use a Triac dimmer paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs — non-dimmable bulbs will not dim.
- G9 base — twist the bulb gently into the socket inside the brass collar. Bulbs are not included.
- Brass stem ships at a standard drop length. If you need a longer stem for high ceilings or shorter for low ceilings, request the length before the order ships.
- For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms, showers, or damp locations — alabaster is porous and absorbs moisture.
- The stone drop has real weight, especially in the large size (23 cm wide). Confirm the ceiling junction box is secured into a joist or fan-rated brace before mounting the medium and large sizes.
FAQ
Is the Tova carved from one piece of stone or assembled?
Each Tova drop is carved from a single block of alabaster — there's no horizontal seam, no glued sections, no two-piece sandwich. The brass collar at the top covers where the bulb wiring enters the stone; below that, the entire teardrop is one piece. This is why the large size, in particular, has real weight: it's solid stone shaped down to a hollow interior where the bulbs sit.
Will my Tova look exactly like the photo?
No. Alabaster is a quarried stone — every block has its own pattern of veining and tone. The photo shows one representative drop; yours will have a different vein pattern, a different vein density, and may sit slightly whiter or warmer than the photo. When the bulb is on, the veins glow brightest because they're where the stone is thinnest. This variation is normal alabaster behavior, not damage or a manufacturing flaw.
Why does the large size have three bulbs and the others one?
The interior volume of the large drop (23 × 40 cm) is more than twice that of the medium. A single G9 bulb at the top would leave the lower half of the stone noticeably dim. Three sockets distributed inside the cavity light the full height of the drop evenly, top to bottom, and roughly triple the lumen output. If the Tova is the primary light in the room, choose the large.
Can I cluster Tovas in different sizes?
Yes — mixed-size clusters work well with this form. A common arrangement is two smalls and one medium hung at staggered heights over a stair void, or three larges in a row over a long dining table. Each pendant ships with its own canopy and stem. For a cluster on a single canopy with adjustable stem lengths, contact us before ordering and we can quote the multi-pendant build.
Can I use a dimmer with this light?
Yes, with the right combination. The Tova dims when paired with two things together: a dimmable G9 LED bulb (look for "dimmable" on the bulb packaging — many G9 LEDs are not dimmable) and a Triac dimmer wall switch. Non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or stay at full brightness on a dimmer, regardless of the fixture.
Is the Tova certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
