Halden Drum Alabaster Pendant Light
The Halden Drum Alabaster Pendant Light features a rounded drum of natural alabaster — neither a flat cylinder nor a half-sphere, but a barrel shape with a soft radius at the top and bottom — suspended from a slim brass stem. A short brass collar joins the stone to the stem, holding the bulb socket inside the drum. When illuminated, the full height of the drum glows evenly because the form is wider than it is tall and the bulb sits centered inside. The drum is 17 cm wide and 21 cm tall — sized for a kitchen island in clusters of three, a single pendant over a bedside, or a row over a dining bar.
Alabaster Pendant Light Features
Drum-Form Alabaster
Rounded barrel shape — softer than a flat cylinder, fuller than a dome.
Brass Collar
Short polished collar connects the stone to the stem above.
Slim Brass Stem
Single rigid rod — gives the pendant a defined ceiling-to-shade line.
E26 Bulb Socket
Standard medium-base bulb — swappable, dimmable with the right bulb.
Natural Alabaster
Translucent stone — vein pattern glows when the bulb is on.
AC 110–240V
Hardwired, works on North America and EU mains.
Natural Alabaster — Each Drum Is Unique
Alabaster is a translucent natural stone with grey-brown veining and faint honey cloudiness through the white base. Each Halden drum is cut from a different block, so the vein pattern, vein density, and underlying tone will vary from the photo. When the bulb is on, the veins read brightest because they're where the stone is thinnest — this is normal alabaster behavior, not a defect.
E26 Medium-Base Bulb · Bulb Not Included
The Halden takes one standard E26 medium-base bulb — the same size as most household table-lamp bulbs in North America. Bulbs are not included. We recommend a warm-white LED (2700–3000K) to bring out the honey tones in the alabaster veins; max 40W keeps the drum cool to the touch.
Size
Single Size — Compact Pendant Scale
Drum diameter: 17 cm / 6.7″
Drum height: 21 cm / 8.3″
Canopy diameter: 10 cm / 3.9″ (Ø D100)
The Halden is a single-size pendant, sized for use in a single hanging or in a row of three to five over a kitchen island, dining bar, or hallway. It is not large enough to act as the primary light in a full room on its own — pair it with overhead ambient lighting or hang multiple units to cover larger spaces.

Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Compatible with a standard wall switch (not included). For dimming, use a Triac dimmer paired with a dimmable LED bulb — non-dimmable bulbs will not dim.
- The E26 socket is the standard North American medium-base size and accepts most household LED bulbs. The supplier doc lists E27 (European), but E26 and E27 are interchangeable — the bulb threads fit either socket.
- Twist the bulb gently into the socket inside the drum. Do not exceed 40W — higher-wattage bulbs run hot and can stain the alabaster over time.
- The brass canopy mounts directly to a standard ceiling junction box. The pendant is light — alabaster drum + brass hardware — so a standard junction box is sufficient.
- Stem ships at a standard drop length. If you need a longer stem for high ceilings or shorter for low ceilings, request the length before the order ships.
- For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms, showers, or damp locations — alabaster is porous and absorbs moisture.
FAQ
How is a drum pendant different from a dome or cylinder pendant?
A dome is a half-sphere — open at the bottom, curved across the top. A cylinder is a flat-sided tube with sharp edges top and bottom. A drum sits between the two: rounded radius at the top and bottom of the shade, but with straighter sides than a dome. The Halden's drum form gives an even light spread because the bulb sits centered inside, with the rounded top and bottom softening any glare you'd see from a sharp-edged cylinder.
What bulb does it take — E26 or E27?
Both work. E26 (North American medium-base) and E27 (European medium-base) have the same thread diameter and are interchangeable in this fixture. The supplier doc specifies E27, but any E26 bulb from a US retailer (Home Depot, Amazon, hardware stores) will screw into the socket without an adapter. Recommended: any warm-white LED at 2700–3000K, maximum 40W equivalent. Buy a dimmable bulb if you want to dim the fixture from a wall switch.
Will my Halden look exactly like the photo?
No. Alabaster is a quarried stone — every block has its own pattern of veining and tone. The photo shows one representative drum. Your piece will have a different vein pattern, a different vein density, and may sit slightly whiter or warmer than the photo. When the bulb is on, the veins glow brightest because they're where the stone is thinnest. This is normal alabaster behavior, not damage or a manufacturing flaw.
Can I cluster multiple Haldens?
Yes — a row of three to five Haldens works well over a kitchen island, dining bar, or stair void. Each pendant ships with its own brass canopy and stem. Because the stem is rigid, all units hang at the standard length unless you request a custom drop. For a cluster on a single canopy with adjustable rod lengths, contact us before ordering and we can quote the multi-pendant build.
Can I use a dimmer with this light?
Yes, with the right combination. The Halden dims when paired with two things together: a dimmable E26 LED bulb (look for "dimmable" on the bulb packaging — not all LEDs are dimmable) and a Triac dimmer wall switch. Non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or stay at full brightness on a dimmer, regardless of the fixture.
Is it certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It operates on AC 110–240V worldwide with compliance suitable for North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia.
